Emily Jaenicke brings extensive industry experience to Viking, having joined in 2008 following five successful years at sea with Holland America Line and Windstar Cruises. Her maritime career began as a Deck Officer Apprentice, progressing to fully qualified Navigation Officer.
A strong advocate for industry best practice, Emily ensures full compliance with international maritime legislation, including the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC) and Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW). Under her leadership, Viking Crew stays ahead of evolving regulatory requirements, maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and accountability across all crewing activities.
Today, Emily leads the daily crewing operations across Viking Crew’s global client base. She plays a key leadership role, ensuring seamless service delivery and operational excellence, while working closely alongside Directors, Paul, Sam and Andrew.
